First sight of Philippines

After coming out of the Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport , It was kind of mixed feeling, every thing looked kind of different starting from peoples face , roads, sound and e.t.c. We took a cab from manila in order to reach Alabang where we have booked our house.

Speaking about manila, it is the capital city of Philippines. Listed as a global city, Manila has its strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport making it the historical, cultural, political, economic and educational center of the Philippines. Every where we can see tall buildings.

To reach Alabang from Manila  you have lot of routes, It depends upon  how much Peso(local currency) you can afford. The fastest and costliest way is using "Metro Manila Skyway". The Metro Manila Skyway is a fully grade separated elevated highway and motorway serving as the main expressway in the southern parts of Metro Manila, crossing over much of the existing South Luzon Expressway.

Another disturbing thing was , In Philippines it is a left hand drive, so when you come from a right hand driving country, it will be kind of difficult when you cross the roads. It takes time to get used to it.

Road to Philippines

Me and three of my friends started on a midnight from Chennai , reached kuala lumpur international airport in the early morning. I can’t move to the next  post  without describing the kuala lumpur airport , It was nearly 60 KM long and uniquely designed. It is the 5th busiest international airport in Asia. It was ranked the 29th busiest airport by cargo traffic in 2010.

The entire airport is connected with metro train and buses.

After spending few hours there, We boarded our next flight to manila. It was nice experience in the aircraft on the way to manila, We crossed south china sea and many big mountains in between. The view from flight was splendid.

Nearly after 4 hours of travel we reached manila international airport. Speaking frankly it doesn’t looked an international airport to me, I don’t know  whether it is the reason of visiting kuala lumpur airport before this. When I came out from the customs checking it almost looked like Chennai CMBT bus stand.
